I see a beach
covered in the remains of those that have come back and forth,
and near and far.
I see a sky blue as the eye can see,
And an ocean as deep as the soul of man.
I see a raven soaring across the sky.
Tell me Beauty I see,
Why does man hurt the world that it has to inhabit?
Do they not see what I see?
Each day the sun rises, and at night it falls again.
In the middle of this grand display, you look ahead in dismay.
I see a fog rising over the cities where we all live to laugh and play.
I see the clouds which cover our minds,
And the weakness of the hearts of man led astray.
I see the destruction of the grandest stories,
Which people make today.
When I look to the north what do I see,
But the solemn demise of the mature mind,
And the rise of those who would lead us away.
I see a great beast caged in a corner,
And their offspring born but not free.
The world not what it seems to be.
A thousand years they walk;
But a thousand years they return.
Back to the roots from whence they came,
And not to the future which they can see.
I see a species on the brink of longevity but held back by limiting beliefs.
I see a hand in which to hold,
And events which may unfold.
To the south I see,
A sharper mind,
And others in kind; which will lead back to where we should be.
But Alas it is tough,
When it is hard to trust,
That when the going gets tough we’ll cancel too much.
And our world lack luster and grey.
When the day comes to night you will sleep,
Knowing that the world keeps the freedom at bay.
And when you wake up and the sun rises high in the sky;
Ask the reason why,
On this new day on this new time.
I see a new world of our own creation because the future is black and ours to say.
